Since March 2022, Masterise Group and Room to Read have embarked on many meaningful activities for schoolgirls in Vinh Long, Tra Vinh & Long An under the "Girl's Education Program" program. In the first summer after the pandemic, the program resumed with a series of engaging and meaningful activities, such as:

The Summer Camp for senior school girls in Vinh Long, Tra Vinh & Long An

The summer camp for 231 9th-grade girls of the Girl's Education Program for Girls in Vinh Long was organized like a future village, and the girls are residents. The girls enjoyed participating in countless activities that contribute to sustainable community development, such as proposing initiatives to implement social projects; researching the effects of plants around the house to produce compost; finding solutions to reduce the amount of waste, role-playing at photography stations; drawing stations, gameshow stations, or art performance stations.
 

The 12th-grade summer camps in Long An (91 girls) and Tra Vinh (195 girls) have many exciting activities when girls sit around the candlelight, reflecting on the 7-year journey of participation in the program, expressing gratitude to the teachers who have accompanied them, encouraged, and supported them during the past time. The end of the program was a moment of rewarding the diploma of completion of the Girls' Education Support program.

The Career Orientation in Can Tho University for the 11th-graded girls in Tra Vinh

As part of the Girl's Education Program, more than 150 11th-grade girls from 4 schools in the Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh, had the opportunity to visit Can Tho University to prepare for their important milestone - the "entrance exam".
This activity was composed of two main parts: a seminar on admission criteria, training programs, and career opportunities with university representatives. At the event, the girls were free to ask questions and learn more about the challenges they will face as a freshman in university with sharing from two alums of Tra Vinh.
 

At the end of the event, there was an exciting tour through the Learning Resource Center, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Agriculture of the university with the guidance of more than 40 students from the Tra Vinh Student Union studying in Can Tho.

Stepping into the back-to-school season, we will implement new plans, most recently expanding the scale of activities to high schools in Vinh Long province. According to Masterise Group, the joy and confidence of school girls after participating in the program motivates us to continue to accompany Room to Read in developing this meaningful educational journey, empowering them to shape their lives and build a better future for all.
