MASTER-PEACE: When residents tell the story of their home through every brushstroke

Building on the imprint of community activities organized by "My Home at Masterise" in collaboration with Masterise Property Management, the living space depiction contest "MASTER-PEACE - Painting where we belong, preserving peace" offers a playground where art becomes a bridge connecting generations, family members, and the resident community.

The contest encourages residents of various ages to tell the story of where they live through their own perspectives and emotions, thereby spreading the spirit of creativity, sharing, and connection within the Masterise Homes community.

“Home” through the eyes of multiple generations
For each person, "home" may take on a different form. It could be a familiar playground for young children, a swimming pool where the family enjoys weekends together, or simply a balcony corner overlooking a green space that has become familiar after returning each day.

These perspectives are recreated through the living space depiction contest "MASTER-PEACE - Painting where we belong, preserving peace," exclusively for residents living at LUMIÈRE Evergreen, LUMIÈRE Riverside, LUMIÈRE Boulevard, Masteri Waterfront, Masteri West Heights, and Masteri Centre Point. Organized by "My Home at Masterise" in collaboration with Masterise Property Management, the contest attracted over 150 entries across three age groups: 3-10 years old, 11-15 years old, and 16 years old and above. The participation of multiple generations brought diverse ways of perceiving the exact same living place.

Although expressed through various artistic mediums, the common thread among the works remains deeply familiar things: a favorite corner of the house, the everyday landscape view, close neighbors, and peaceful time spent with family.

According to contest judge - Visual Artist Le Giang: “The entries displayed fairly even artistic quality, diverse themes, and rich emotions. Going beyond mere descriptions of landscapes and architecture, many works managed to express the 'soul' of the living space and unique perspectives on the place each person calls home.”

Expressing an adult's feeling of home, resident Nong Thi An Chinh from the Masteri Waterfront project shared her thoughts through her First Prize-winning artwork (age group 16 and above): “To me, the true beauty of a living space lies not just in its architecture or amenities, but in the people who actually live inside it. And perhaps, after all the noise of life, what we look for is still a place with a light waiting for us to return, a place where storms temporarily stop outside the door.”

From the submissions, the Board of Judges selected 16 outstanding artworks to award First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes across the three age groups. In addition, the 80 earliest valid entries received encouragement gifts. The contest had a total prize value of over 200 million VND, awarded in the form of U-Points on the Techcombank OneU application.

When living space is told with genuine emotions
Not stopping at recreating living spaces, behind each painting are stories that only the artist could tell, creating authentic slices of life across Masterise Homes projects. A single line may start from a very small moment, yet preserve a memory meaningful to an entire family.

In the First Prize-winning artwork for the 11-15 age group, resident Nguyen Minh Duc from the Masteri West Heights project chose to preserve childhood memories with his family: “I painted this picture to capture my childhood memories. They are the joys, the experiences, and the simple moments with my family. Every small corner in the painting holds a memory, but above all, I want to keep the images of the people I love.”

In another slice of life, the artwork "Grandpa taking me swimming" by resident Le Viet Anh depicts the Masteri Centre Point project as a green living space, where everyday moments can awaken deep memories. The familiar moment of a grandfather taking his grandchild swimming recalled stories of affection and continuity between generations. For the author, Masteri Centre Point is therefore not merely a place to live, but a place where the family nurtures peaceful memories together.

Sharing her perspective on the contest, Visual Artist Le Giang - a member of the Board of Judges emphasized: “I believe that every living space has its own 'frequency', created by the people, memories, and moments occurring within it. When genuine emotions are transformed into art, a corner of a home is no longer just a living space, but becomes a story to remember, to share, and to preserve the peaceful moments that create a sense of belonging.”

That spirit is clearly present in the artworks of MASTER-PEACE. Every painting begins from the intimate, personal experiences of the artist. Sincerity helped these personal stories foster empathy between the artist and the viewer.

From creativity to community connection
Going beyond the framework of an art competition, the contest was organized by "My Home at Masterise" with the desire to open a journey for residents to tell the story of where they belong through an artistic lens. Each brushstroke not only depicts a space, but also preserves an emotion, a memory, and a part of the story of the place one returns to every day.

Through the MASTER-PEACE contest, the program aims to inspire creativity, encouraging residents to create their own "masterpiece", thereby preserving peaceful moments, bonding values, and personal stories about their living spaces. At the same time, the contest contributes to connecting members and spreading the image of a Masterise Homes resident community that is rich in emotion, creativity, and humanity.

In this process, every brushstroke became an occasion for members to sit together, share, and preserve feelings of familiarity in the place they live. As personal experiences were shared, residents in the "My Home at Masterise" community gained more opportunities to interact, find harmony, and bring neighbors closer together.

“More than just a drawing contest, MASTER-PEACE connected three generations of our family. I had promised many times to draw a picture with my mother and child, but due to busy work, I couldn't fulfill it. Thanks to the contest, that promise finally came true. Seeing my child's smile every time a painting was finished—to my family, that is the most precious thing,” shared resident Dang Quoc Thang at the LUMIÈRE Evergreen project.

Previously, the "My Home at Masterise" organizing team worked closely with Masterise Property Management to launch numerous contests for residents, such as the living space creation contest - Master in Style, the living space decoration contest - Master of Living, the living space enjoyment contest - Master of Joy, and the lifestyle promotion contest - Master of Glow. From aesthetic tastes in home design to ways of enjoying living spaces, family moments, and daily experiences, each contest explored a distinct aspect of life across Masterise Homes projects.

The MASTER-PEACE living space depiction contest continues that journey through the language of art, opening another space for multiple generations to express their personal imprint and find mutual empathy. Through each activity, "My Home at Masterise" gradually becomes a gathering point for residents, where creativity is unlocked, experiences are shared, and the sense of belonging is nurtured over time in the place called "Home".
