The official launch event of the Lake Tower—the first tower of Grand Marina, Saigon—marks the official opening of Vietnam’s first Marriott Residences branded apartment complex.
On November 14, 2023, the Marriott branded residences at Lake Tower, Grand Marina, Saigon officially opened at 2 Ton Duc Thang Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The inauguration welcomed senior leaders from Masterise Homes and Marriott International, along with representatives from the U.S. Consulate in Vietnam and the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
Lake Tower is the first completed building within the master plan of Grand Marina, Saigon—a 10-hectare luxury Marriott-branded real estate complex, the largest in the world, developed by Masterise Homes. The project comprises four Marriott and JW Marriott branded residential towers, an office tower with a premium shopping center, and riverside landscape features designed with striking aesthetics. Situated on the site of the historic Ba Son Shipyard, with over 200 years of history, the project enjoys both a unique historical legacy and the rarity of prime land in central Ho Chi Minh City for new residential developments.
The heritage of the Ba Son site inspired the architectural design of La Sen Park—a public landscape space within the Grand Marina master plan. Architects preserved the historic beauty of the shipyard and the city’s thriving riverside flow in a modern context, making La Sen Park a connection point between natural and man-made masterpieces, past, present, and future. It is expected to become a focal point of the new riverside plaza, amidst the city’s vibrant cultural and commercial life. The one- to three-bedroom apartments at Lake Tower feature the latest smart home technology, with amenities spread across three floors. Behind the completion of Vietnam’s first Marriott branded residences is the tireless effort of developer Masterise Homes and global design and construction partners, including Atkins (a multinational architecture firm based in London), Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) (an international hospitality interior design firm from the U.S.), and Mace (a global consultancy and construction firm based in London). Every detail within Lake Tower underwent a meticulous approval process to meet Marriott’s brand standards.
